Celebrity stalkers have plagued the lives of many VIPs over the years.

Sentence is expected to be passed in mid October 2009 on Peter Oakey aged 50, who repeatedly sent greetings cards and flowers to TV newsreader and presenter Fiona Bruce, despite a restraining order being granted in December 2008.
There have been many high profile celebrity stalkers in the past, perhaps the most famous being Mark Chapman who stalked John Lennon before shooting him dead in 1980.
Of course it’s not just celebrities who are victims of stalking. Many members of the public who aren’t in the limelight also suffer at the hands of a stalker.
A survey carried out in 2005 by a leading forensic psychologist Dr. Lorraine Sheridan, found that around 50% of stalkers are ex-partners and are therefore known by the victim.
